UEL offers a three-year programme with the option of a one-year industrial placement.

The Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and Permanent Way Institution, acting on behalf of the Engineering Council, have certified this degree as follows:

  • Completing the requirements for an Incorporated Engineer's educational foundation (IEng).
  • Partially meeting the requirements for a Chartered Engineer's educational foundation (CEng).

The educational foundation for a CEng will be completed by a programme of recognised further learning.
