Staffordshire, UK-based Keele Institution (KU) is an open research university that was established in 1949. The Academic Ranking of World Universities (Shanghai Ranking) for 2020 places Keele between 601 and 700 in terms of global universities. A significant improvement from 801-900 for 2019 is this. From 2018 to 2020, the institution was regularly ranked by QS (Top Universities) at 601-650; however, for 2021, Keele's standing dropped to 701-750. Since 2018, THE (Times Higher Education), a significant ranking source, has put Keele between positions 501 and 600 in their best university ranking.
 

In its ranking of the world's universities, US News & World Report has also dropped Keele from the 864th spot for 2020 to the 908th spot for 2021. In terms of UK universities, Keele has retained its position. The Complete University Guide no longer lists Keele as one of the top 100 universities in the UK as of 2017. In its list of the best 100 universities in the UK, The Guardian has also ranked Keele among them.

The eligibility criteria a student must meet to be considered for admission are:

 

For Undergraduate:

  • For Foundation year students: Successful completion of 10+1 with 70% and 10+2 with 60%
  • For Undergraduate freshmen: CBSE/CISCE/ West Bengal Class XII; 60-90% depending upon the course (70% above in English) 

 

For Postgraduate :

  • For Postgraduate 2.1: 3-year bachelor's degree with 60% and the institution should be recognised by NARIC
  • For Postgraduate 2.2: 3-year bachelor's degree with 55% and the institution should be recognised by NARIC

Residence Halls

 

  • Barnes Hall

 

Barnes is a short stroll from our Keele Business School and the centre of campus. It is situated at the top of campus, between the David Weatherall building (Medical School) and the Sports Centre. There are two laundromats, a common area, and a bar in Barnes Hall. It provides a variety of traditional rooms, shared apartments, and deluxe en-suite rooms and has over 1,000 student accommodations.

  • Lindsay Hall

 

The centre of campus and the science teaching facilities are just a short stroll from Lindsay Hall, which is situated on the south side of the university. The Lindsay Café Bar, known for its pub quizzes and social activities, is located there and has its common area and laundromat. It offers a variety of rooms, including en-suite, classic, and classic plus rooms.

  • Horwood Hall

Keele was the best choice for me. The courses that I went for were amazing, filled with many different subjects in an easy-to-follow way. The campus is beautiful and very secure.
