What are the requirements for participation?

There are programme and course-specific requirements at the university. Basic eligibility is also determined by the country in which you completed your education; for example, Indian candidates must meet the following basic eligibility standards to be considered for admission:

Undergraduate Admissions

  • For immediate admittance into the first year of a UG study, a cumulative score of 65 percent in Grade 12 is required.
  • For advanced second-year enrollment into a UG course, a cumulative score of 75 percent in Grade 12 is required.
  • Advanced admission requires a score of 35 in the IB or GCE A-Levels ABB.

Admissions to the Postgraduate Program

  • Tier-1 universities, such as the University of Delhi, the University of Mumbai, the University of Calcutta, and others, average 50%.
  • Tier-2 universities had an average score of 55 percent.

Language Requirements in English

If English is not their first language, international students must demonstrate a minimum level of English competence. If the following conditions are not met, the institution will only accept IELTS Academic and Pearson PTE Academic in addition to UKVI authorised SELT exams, including 'IELTS for UKVI.'

Undergraduate

If studied within the last 5 years of the course start date, students who scored 70% in English in Grade 12 from the following exam boards are not required to submit IELTS.

  • CBSE
  • ISC/ICSE
  • State Boards in the Metropolitan Area (Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal)

If studied within 5 years of the course start date, students who score 80 percent in English in Grade 12 from any other state boards will not be required to submit IELTS.

Postgraduate

If studied within 5 years of the course start date, students who score 70% in English in Grade 12 from the following exam boards will not be required to submit IELTS.

  • CBSE
  • ISC/ICSE
  • State Boards in the Metropolitan Area (Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal)

Students who match the above criteria but have Grade 12 scores that are 6-10 years old must also submit an official letter from their university or college stating that the student's medium of instruction (MOI) was English and that they graduated within 5 years of the course start date.

Because English language requirements vary per course, applicants are encouraged to check the individual course pages for the particular grades required for their chosen course. In general, Indian candidates must achieve the following scores:

  • IELTS: 6.0 overall
  • PTE: 60 in total
