To enroll at Yale University, candidates must achieve test scores ranging between 25th to 75th percentiles in the following exams:

  • SAT Reading & Writing Test: 720 - 780
  • SAT Mathematics Test: 740 - 800
  • ACT Composite: 33-35

Although there are no set score cut-offs, the university prefers academic performance over standardized testing. A strong performance in a demanding college preparatory program may compensate for low standardized test scores. Still, high test scores are also unlikely to persuade the admissions committee to overlook an unremarkable secondary-school record.

English Proficiency Test Scores

Yale firmly instructs those non-native English speakers who have not taken at least two years of secondary education where English is the medium of instruction to take any of the proficiency tests listed below.

  • TOEFL - 100 on the internet-based and 25 on each of the 3 divisions of the paper-and-pencil TOEFL Paper-delivered Test
  • IELTS - scores of 7 or higher
  • PTE - scores of 70 or higher
  • DET - scores of at the minimum 120 or higher

Yale University organizes placement exams to ensure students are at the appropriate level for their respective courses. Approximately 75% of Yale University graduates are employed in full-time, part-time, or temporary positions earning an average starting salary of about $76,359. Students interested in exploring potential career paths can apply for an internship at Yale and later participate in placement and career fairs.

In terms of placements, MBA, English, management, history, economics, and law programs, are among the most successful. Yale University offers students with placements in reputed organizations. Here is a concise list of some of the companies :

Yale University is a great place to study. It has many different fields of study and they offer all the necessities needed for students who want to further their education. The campus is very nice, it's safe, and I feel like everyone on campus wants you to succeed in whatever field you choose. The classes are small so professors can actually teach you more than one thing at once which makes learning easier because there aren't too many people in class causing the professor to repeat himself or herself over and over again.

I've been a student at Yale University for over 2 years now. I have to say that it's one of the best colleges in Canada. The campus is beautiful and peaceful, with many green areas where students can study or relax after classes. In addition, the college offers many interesting events and activities for students, including cultural days and trips abroad.
