On-campus Accommodation:

Living on campus protects international students and gives peace of mind to their families back home; university halls are self-contained communities where students may rapidly establish friends and feel at ease. University provides guaranteed housing to overseas students who meet specific requirements.

As first-year international students in Manchester, students have the opportunity to live and study alongside British students in a safe and accepting atmosphere.

University offers a variety of styles, rates, and locations, with over 8,000 rooms in 19 halls. Much of the university housing is within walking distance of the main University buildings.

University accommodation represents excellent value for money. Residency fees cover Internet connection, personal possessions insurance, and utility services. Prices for 2021/22, based on a 40–42 week letting period, are:

• £98–£111 per week for a single self-catering room with shared facilities;
• £140–£150 per week for a single self-catering room with en-suite facilities;
• £135–£152 per week for a single room with shared facilities in a catered hall. 

Off-campus Accommodation:

Manchester has a large supply of private rental accommodation in areas close to the University. Manchester Student Homes operates on behalf of the city’s universities to help students find University-approved accommodation in the private sector, and it provides useful general housing advice and listings of available properties
