- Chicago State University (CSU), Illinois, USA, is a public university founded in 1867. CSU is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university offers 56 degree programs under various disciplines - Business, Education, Health Science, Pharmacy, Arts, Sciences, Design, Psychology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Work, Languages, Engineering, Communication and Philosophy.

Applicants who are presently enrolled in high school or have obtained the equivalent of a US high school diploma but have never attended college must provide the following papers to be considered for admission:

Individuals who have not finished education in one of the nations indicated on page 31 of the Academic Catalog must produce a valid score from one of the following firms for their application, taken within the last two years:
- 68 on the TOEFL (iBT)
- 6 on the IELTS (Academic)
- 47 on the PTE-A (Academic)
- 3.7 iTEP (Academic Plus)
- 18 ACT
- The SAT score is 960.
All documentation in languages other than English must be accompanied by a certified translation from a NACSE accredited credit evaluation company. All documentation from universities outside the US must be accompanied by a NACES-approved organization's evaluation.)
