Mason is dedicated to training students for fulfilling jobs in an increasingly globalised world. Internships are valuable opportunities to obtain experience in the actual world of work while also learning knowledge and skills by applying classroom theories to real-world challenges. All Mason students are encouraged to do at least one internship before graduation in order to improve their job prospects and earning potential.

You can clarify professional goals, get résumé-building experience, and become a stronger candidate when applying for full-time jobs and graduate school by working in your chosen field before graduating. Experiential learning can pave the way for future job chances. You may also be able to receive transcript recognition for a paid internship or co-op that is not for academic credit.

Major companies which recruit from GMU are Nestle, Amazon, World Bank Group, Disney, Apple, Marriott, Microsoft, Accenture etc.

The university provides a safe and peaceful place for students where they can have the best time of their lives. With over 40 residence halls to choose from, including regular rooms, suites, and apartments, you'll be able to choose a home that fits your needs.

Although some students reside in suites, the majority of freshmen dwell in standard rooms. Suite-style or apartment-style halls are available to all upper-class students. The houses are divided into three neighbourhoods: Aquia, Rappahannock, and Shenandoah, with professional and student personnel ensuring that you have access to the tools you require to live the life you desire.

Each community, as well as the Mason Global Center, has a service desk that is staffed seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Housing also provides a variety of services, including free laundry, Wi-Fi, and TV.

Suites

There are eight suite-style halls with different floor plans. Some suites contain bedrooms that are accessible from the main corridor and share a bathroom with one or more additional rooms. Others have hallway entrances and contain two to four bedrooms, with up to four people sharing a bathroom.

Bedrooms are available in doubles, singles, or triples. Only a few units offer kitchenettes (sink, microwave, small refrigerator). If you live in a suite, though, you must purchase a meal plan.

Suite-style buildings include:

  • Piedmont / Tidewater / Blue Ridge / Sandbridge
  • Eastern Shore
  • Hampton Roads
  • Angel Cabrera Global Center
  • Whitetop

Apartments

Approximately half of our upper-class residential students live in one of our five apartment-style buildings, which provide a choice of floor configurations. These completely furnished flats come with full kitchens, dining spaces, living rooms, baths, and a mix of bedrooms that range from two singles to two doubles and two singles. The majority of the units can accommodate four people, while some may accommodate two, five, or six. All of the bedrooms can accommodate one, two, or three people.

You can purchase a voluntary meal plan if you reside in an apartment, but it is not compulsory.

Apartment-style buildings include:

  • Liberty Square
  • Northern Neck
  • Potomac Heights
  • Rogers
  • Townhouses

George Mason University is the best school I've ever attended, despite it being a small school. The faculty is knowledgeable and diverse, the classroom setting is comfortable and personal, the scholarships are competitive, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The community takes care of each other in every way possible, which we will all never forget.
