University Ranking

The University of Cincinnati is an open research university with more than 100 years of history and is headquartered in Ohio, USA. Cincinnati's placement in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU, Shanghai Ranking), which emphasises research output and faculty quality, rose from 301–400 in 2017–2019 to 201-300 in 2020 and 2021. Cincinnati's ranking has been steadily declining in QS World University's rankings, which place a strong focus on an institution's reputation in academics, from 551-600 in 2020 to 601-650 in 2021 and 2022. This demonstrates how the university's academic standing has suffered.

The University of Cincinnati has maintained its citations, research, and teaching, nonetheless. This is evident from the ranking that THE provides. From 2019 to 2021, it continuously ranked Cincinnati between 251-300. From 2018 to 2020, US News & World Report named it among the top 200 institutions worldwide. It held the 202nd and 191st positions in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Additionally, US News has listed it since 2019 among the top 150 universities in the US.

There is nothing I can point out that would be a negative towards this university. My courses are great and I have enjoyed the time that I have spent at UofC. The professors are excellent, and my advice to future students would be to not take classes from those who don't take you seriously.
