To be eligible for admission to your desired courses, you must meet the below-mentioned academic requirements:

• A bachelor's degree that takes at least four years to complete or a three-year bachelor's degree followed by a master's degree
• Master's degree like MSc, MPhil, MTech, MEng etc. (given after completing a four-year bachelor's degree) 
• 67% or 8.5/10 Grading schemes and processes differ greatly. Consult your university's official grading scale
• 65% or 8.0/10 Grading schemes and processes differ greatly. Consult your university's official grading scale
• They have completed two or more years of full-time tertiary education at a university in Canada
• They have completed at least two years of full-time tertiary study at a university where English was the predominant language of instruction
• They earned their master's degree at a university where English was the predominant medium of instruction

This course prepares students for a 150-hour field placement at a company that deals with immigration or settlement policy, programmes, or services. Students apply and test their classroom learning in real-world contexts such immigrant-serving organisations, newcomer community organisations, schools, and government departments through placements. Students attend presentations by practitioners on policy creation, service delivery, and advocacy during the Winter semester. Students typically finish their placement during the Spring/Summer semester, while there is some flexibility to meet individual needs and goals. 

Field placements are intended to assist students in bridging the gap between classroom information, theoretical discussions, and real-world job experiences. They provide pupils with the opportunity to learn by doing. This helps in building the following skills : 

• Grasp how companies' mandates impact their "culture," rules, practices, and interpersonal behaviour to improve their abilities and understanding of the field
• Find out about the obstacles that immigrant-serving organisations face in today's ever-changing environment.
• Expand their knowledge of problems such as diversity, power, privilege, and injustice.
