International students wishing to study in Quebec must meet certain government of Quebec and government of Canada regulations. International students must first receive a Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), a study permit, and, in some cases, a visitor visa from the Government of Canada after being accepted to UdeM.

After receiving your formal letter of admission from UdeM, contact the Quebec authorities and the Canadian diplomatic post in your country of residency to obtain these documents. You must demonstrate that you have been admitted to UdeM as a full-time student and that you have adequate financial resources.

It's also important to remember that you'll need to get a guest visa and a study permit before coming to Canada.

Regular full-time students are only allowed to live on campus. The number of rooms available is extremely restricted, and there is no accommodation for couples (with or without children). The request form and flier for the fall session will be available in mid-February, and registration will begin on March 1. Housing requests for the winter term are placed on a waiting list. A single room costs roughly $380 per month, and you must sign a lease
