With over 396 international students from over 40 countries enrolled, UNBC has a significant and active international student population. Admission will be considered for students who have completed their studies at a suitable high school and/or a recognised post-secondary institution.

The UNBC Student Career Center(SCC) organizes co-operative work term placements and posts part-time and full-time jobs for students, career-building workshops and employer recruiting sessions.

The College has two residential buildings, which are only a 5-minute walk from the campus's heart and have a total housing capacity of over 500 people. Fully furnished apartment suites include a kitchen, living room, private bedrooms with a bed and table, and shared bathrooms. Wi-Fi, laundry facilities on each floor, common areas and study halls are available in each building.
Students are assigned Resident Assistants, who provide social and educational resources to students who live on campus. Students must pay a non-refundable Housing Application Fee of $25.50 to complete their application.
